Jasmine Gibson’s past lives are invading her present one in the form of day dreams. When she falls flat on her… um, behind after meeting gorgeous Sean Taylor she has to figure out who he is, was, and will be in her life.
“I must have been a great man in previous life.” Sean joked, but Jasmine’s expression turned serious as she gripped the doorknob. “Are you alright? Are you getting lightheaded?”
She smiled. “No, I’m fine.”
He could tell something was bothering her. “Now you’re holding something back from me.”
She hesitated before asking, “Do you believe in past lives?”
Sean shrugged a shoulder. “I haven’t thought about it. I’ve seen so much in my travels around the world that I wouldn’t be surprised if people experienced them. Why?”
“I was just wondering.”
“Do you believe in past lives?”
“I don’t know. It could be possible. The thought about coming back to make your soul better is very appealing. But, at the same time it seems as if it would be painful especially if you hurt someone else in a past life and meet them again in another,” she looked at him intently.
Sean felt a chill run down his spine. He knew there was something more to this conversation, but he couldn’t pin point it. He’d rather find out more about her interest in past lives than to return to those law books, but he had to go.
He leaned down and kissed her cheek. It was nothing but a friendly kiss, but he felt the shock of it straight down to the soles of his feet and Jasmine seemed to be just as affected as he was because she gasped.
“I. . .“ he cleared his throat when it came out hoarse. He couldn’t believe a simple kiss on the cheek was making him feel as breathless and hot if he’d made it to second base. “I have to hit the books.”
He’d rather enjoy staring into her gorgeous brown eyes and then kissing her until they were both dizzy, but instead he used all of the will power within him to turn around and walk to his car.
